Our oldest boy absolutely loves trains and has done for a very long time.
We have talked about going to Europe and travelling on the Eurostar and on some of the old steam trains in England for a few years now.
We have been saving our coins for such a trip and even though we have quite a bit more saving to do, we thought it would be good to get some plans down on paper and set ourselves a goal...
Things we will be looking at to help make a memorable train adventure...
Flights - which airline is best for a 6yr old and 3yr old. Do we have a stopover in Japan to ride on the Bullet trains and go shopping?
Train passes - best value for money. Sleeping arrangements on long journeys.
Accomodation - ?
Destinations - France, Germany, England, Netherlands, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, Italy and?
Activities - Miniatur Wunderland, Thomasland (England), Swiss Alps scenic train journeys like the Golden Pass or Glacier Express, Eiffel Tower and Laduree in PARIS!! Italy mainly for the best Gelati, pizza and pasta, Legoland, Madurodam
This will evolve I am sure as we explore the train journeys/destinations in more detail.
It is so very exciting!!!
