I have decided to make mini ice cream cake pops for J's party. I got the idea from the Bakerella Blog - so many fun things here to check out!
After chopping off some waffle cones with a serrated knife, they can be filled with cooked cake mix and frosting, or crushed biscuits and cream cheese etc then chilled and dipped in melted chocolate and decorated.
I haven't decided which style exactly, but we had a chance to practise on the weekend because a batch of macarons I made went terribly wrong. I decided to roll them into balls instead and have fun decorating.
We visited a new market at the Arts Centre called The Butterfly Tree Markets, which had lovely handmade things, but mostly for the little ones.
