I had refused to give up on making macarons, I was determined to find success and a recipe that was easy to execute.
This is exactly what happened this weekend...thankfully!
With some mix left over in the bowl Dad made giant hamburger sized macarons.
They may not be of Parisian standards, but are very nice indeed, if I say so myself.
I used this recipe for these vanilla macarons by Bravetart (all the tips are very handy!) with my chocolate buttercream in the middle.
